About
I'm a developer who believes that great code is more than just functionality—it's about creating experiences that feel intuitive, beautiful, and meaningful.
I've always had my eye on technology since a young age, but I would say my journey started about three years prior to my professional career. I started building out iOS applications in Swift, which led to learning JavaScript and React. Ultimately deciding to take a bootcamp through Grand Circus focusing on Front-End, which led right into my recent opportunity as a full-stack developer at Pageworks.
I love solving problems and puzzles. I'm a firm believer that quality code is art—it's about crafting something beautiful, maintainable, and purposeful. That curiosity has evolved into a passion for finding elegant solutions to complex challenges.
What I Do
I build full-stack applications that bridge the gap between design and functionality. Whether it's crafting seamless integrations between platforms, building intuitive user interfaces, or architecting scalable backend systems, I approach each project with attention to detail and a focus on user experience.
My work spans from modern React applications to robust PHP backends, always with an eye toward maintainability, performance, and the people who will ultimately use what I build.
What I'm Into
On the frontend, I work with TypeScript, React, and Vue. I love learning and exploring new frameworks—there's always something new to discover that can change how we approach building applications.
I'm particularly drawn to cloud infrastructure and the power it brings to modern applications. I'm passionate about AWS and cloud technologies—building scalable, resilient systems that can grow with the needs of users and businesses. There's something satisfying about architecting solutions that leverage the cloud's capabilities to deliver performance and reliability.
Beyond the code, I'm interested in how technology can solve real-world problems and make people's lives easier. Every project is an opportunity to learn something new and push the boundaries of what's possible.
Beyond the Screen
I have a wife, Sylvia, and two wonderful kids—Juliet (4) and Austen (18mo). Family is at the center of everything I do, and they inspire me to build things that matter. Whether it's showing my daughter how code can create something magical or simply being present for those moments that matter most, my family keeps me grounded and motivated.
I love board games. Being able to sit around a table with family and/or friends is so fun. Let me be clear—I am very competitive, and I thrive playing highly complex and strategic board games. To pull the curtain back even more, a few of my favorites are: Seven Wonders, Challengers!, Settlers of Catan, Wingspan, and MicroMacro: Crime City (too creative not to include).
I believe that diverse experiences outside of development make me a better problem-solver and bring fresh perspectives to my work. Whether it's strategizing in a board game or problem-solving with my family, these moments shape how I approach challenges in code.
